Eco Felt Grow Bag - Rangiora
These are designed by Jo Luping and perfect for your little plants at home. You know mini stuff like micro-vegetables, herbs and flowers. Simply add your favourite potting mixture directly into the grow bag, then place on top of the saucer. It is cool for your plants as the felt allows roots to breathe yet retains water and allows for a gradual release of moisture. These guys are pretty awesome really because they are durable, washable, re-usable and eco friendly.
This one features the Rangiora bush printed creamy yellow on charcoal coloured felt. How about this incredible fact; okay so not so incredible but anyhoo, it is also the name of a decent sized town in Canterbury on the South Island. And filled with awesome peeps!
"I am interested in the medicinal properties of plants, especially as they have been used by indigenous peoples around the world. In this series I am exploring New Zealand Māori use of plants endemic to New Zealand. This Eco felt Grow bag features a drawing of a Rangiora, a small shrub that can be found in the lower half of the North Island and Upper half of the South Island of New Zealand. Medicinally it has been used for its antiseptic qualities to cure wounds or small cuts. It has the additional benefit of having large soft leaves which can be used as toilet paper - which has earned it the title - bushman's toilet paper." - Jo Luping - Designer.
